Sight for All United was founded in 2016 to help people receive sight saving eye surgery, medications or injections to preserve their sight. It was not long before we realized that access to vision care was a far reaching problem affecting all ages. Thousands of students are identified with vision problems each year, but 2/3 of them will never see an eye doctor or get a pair of glasses due to a multitude of reasons. Once Sight for All United identified this problem, we established the first in-school mobile vision van which could provide eye exams and glasses at the schools. We now focus on identifying other issues, such as low vision resources, medical referrals from the in-school eye exams, and improving screening procedures.
Sight for All United mission is to help every person reach his/her visual potential while lifting barriers for access to care.
