The Sight Beyond School program helps children who need more help than an in-school eye exam and glasses. For these children, we reach out to parents and assist with scheduling, transportation, and education. This program is the first of its kind in the nation. These services are free to the child, family, and school.
Our School Vision Program ensures every child in need receives an eye exam and glasses. In 2022, we brought the first Vision Van to the Mahoning Valley. Local and national partnerships with Classic Optical Laboratories, United Way of the Mahoning Valley, Cafaro Foundation, Leonard Fisher Family Foundation, Mercy Health, Vision to Learn and Essilor Vision Foundation have enabled us to provide eye exams and glasses to all children in need. We have provided over 3800 eye exams and over 3000 pairs of glasses.
